Yes I agree with you the Euro Alps are a motorcyclist paradise. Rode the Alps in 2017 and again 2019. Family health issues are keeping me from riding them again and again. The roads in Switzerland have to be seen to be believed!
I've just come back from a week in Morgins, unfortunately in a car. The roads are just incredible for bikes. Switchbacks everywhere. Incredible views. Oh, and we had decent weather!View attachment 23699View attachment 23700View attachment 23701
We all have fires and/or stove in the chalets. The apartment building are usually only gas or electric.Just curious. Not seeing alot of smoke from wood burning stoves? Not popular in Switzerland?
Cool! (Spokane county had a huge smoke cloud/temperature inversion issue in the winter due to 40,000 wood burning stoves. They they outlawed the purchase of non-EPA certified clean burning stoves and it really cleared things up. I live 600 ft above the town and am out of the smoke control zone.We all have fires and/or stove in the chalets. The apartment building are usually only gas or electric.
The reason for no smoke was it was about 16°C (61°F) and very sunny, so no heat required. The chalet was at 1,376 m (4,515 ft) and 74 m (243 ft) above the town. Rather a strenuous walk into town to get the bread at 7 am every morning...
We were sitting out on the balcony, in shirt sleeves, enjoying a beerafter the long drive to Switzerland in the first photo!
They have interesting speed limit enforcement.Yoh... nature and roads are nice there...
I however have two major issues:
