Stripped off her dress, Getting her ready for her 65k mile service. First I am going to change her coolant as it has been over four years and 15000 miles. After that is completed in a couple of days I will replace brake and clutch fluid and bleed the brakes and clutch. It has been over two years and 10000 miles. Then a oil change, closing in on a year since that was changed. Also check brake pad wear and clean air filter. A good visual inspection under the cloths. Then will redress her and GO RIDE.

Gave mine a new bat and new pigtail and oil and filter. Like the other 2 bikes. Wont make a decision on which one to take to the ralley until I see the long term weather forecast.

Yes, I woud like to have more than one bike in the garage, but if so, they would all need to serve different purposes, ie: touring, dirt, track, etc.

Interesting that some own several bikes that all serve the same basic function - touring. Wonder why?

Because we can I tried to trade the FJR off twice now for lighter machines , but she just would not go. So I have two road bikes and a V-Strom adventure bike. Still would like to get down to two bikes. If some one made me an offer I can't refuse then I might let the FJR go out the door.

I bought the FJR first due to her looks, actually, but if its cold and rainy and snowy, that is the bike I will chose.
The XT 650 Vstrom has "Old person's bike" written all over it. Launch assist, comfy seating position, smooth engine...great slow speed handling.
The VFR is the most fun bike when you are in the mountains and has big panniers with latches that work. And its light weight.

In my case, the 2007 ST1300 with 100k+miles is worth more to me as a backup than anyone will pay me for it. Plus I enjoy the difference from the NT1100.
