Rising star Energica doubles global electric motorcycles sales, up 5x in the US

You pays yer money and takes your choice. If it works for you, buy it, however if a critical part fails that is unobtanium, you are left with nothing more than a fancy paperweight... a big one....

Yes, I am aware of the risk involved. I would only proceed with a purchase, if the dealer and I can agree on a price below 30-40% of market value. If not, I WALK…

As an alternative, I’m considering the Can-Am Pulse, which is a new motorcycle from an established manufacturer.

Crazy expensive electric cars, trucks, SUV’s are selling here big time as you have likely observed. I see more electric motorcycles on the freeway commuting in the mornings as well. Of course wages here in So Cal are higher than other parts of the country so folks can afford those pricey buggies.
Yabbut doesn't the cost of living pretty much negate the extra wages you earn?

I hope you can make a deal. The greater Los Angeles area is perfect for electric vehicles, high density population and slow moving traffic with crazy travel times just to go short distances. The convenience of plugging in your bike at night is really nice and as an added bonus it can be parked indoors.

A largely discounted electric machine is a great choice, save money going in and continue to save $$ as the years move on.
I will plan and prepare as much as I can. Then I will put all that preparation to the test. I can be very persuasive when I have time to prepare.

It would be an interesting motorcycle to ride. Paying even $10K for a motorcycle that has a very real chance of being worth $200 in 3-5 years for scrap metal as a way of sustaining Earth and saving some gas money is pretty risky. Best case, how long does that motorcycle exist in the best of hands with no support... maybe 10 years of use. I have two 10 year old+ motorcycles that have some resale value today and likely will in another 10 years. It's a shame because it is a nice looking bike and I can see it being attractive for several niche buyers, but LORDY, the risk of losing everything on something as simple as, "hey, my computer is acting funny"... and it's done. I still get the temptation though. If it was me I would be SERIOUSLY tempted if the price was ~ $4000, otherwise I'll gladly dump $4000 of gas and get 60,000 miles on an ICE motorcycle. Good Luck.

I reserve the right to exercise the “WALK AWAY” option at any time. I'm just saying…
