Repair/shop manual?

2008 black NT700
Hi there, perhaps this is the right place to ask. I'm a new NT700V owner and I'm searching for a repair/shop manual. I can find a owners manual, but these are not useful to me. I want to know how to disassemble the bike and put it back together (as a figure of speech).

For example, I just want to replace the headlight with a more brighter one. No manual says what kind of bulb it has? Let alone what plastics to remove to actually replace it...

Before I had an BMW, and could easily find the manual. It had a step by step guide for almost anything, with pictures. Replacing oil, checking valves etc. I think it was a shop manual.
 
Thanks, this one looks quite extensive! To be honest, I found this one myself earlier but didn't look into it. It looks a bit like it is scanned from a paper version...

It also doesn't state what type of bulb, what fitting :(. It shows the voltages and wattages needed, but not what kind of fitting I think. Anyway, it does show the steps needed to preform repairs.

This is also handy. But again, the type of fitting H7 is not listed anywhere no? If you look on the parts list, its on the picture of the bulb itself, that is the only place I can find it.

I know I can google it and find my answers on some forum of chatgpt or something, but prefer it to be in one place, well documented. Goes for other parts also, the lightbulb is just as a example :)

Anyway, I'm making this bigger than it needs to be. Thanks all for the documents!

Dunno, never thought about it...
One peek through the headlight lens of the '07 NT700VA we'd obtained for my GF in 2020 and I just "knew" that those are H7 bulbs... :shrug2:
(H4 and H7 are the most common around anyway...)

OTOH am I gen-X... from a place and time where an Owner's Manual showed you how to adjust the valves, but no warnings to not drink the content of the battery... ;)

So one of the first thing I obtained for that motorcycle was zis :cool:

Yeah I mean it looks like a 'regular' H7, but how to know for sure? My previous bmw had H3 and from the outside those look a lot like H2 ;)

Haha nice. I'm a bit younger, but would prefer the valve specs instead! I know header pipes are hot after riding. Definitely didn't find out the hard way.

2-pins, metal base, glass bulb with black tip as H4 (which has 3 pins)...

Your beemer H3 has a glass-fiber isolated wire with a male crimp at the end...

An H2 has blades at the sides of the glass base as contacts...

and so on, and so forth...
