Oh look at the 10 day forcast for Cody WY. MAYbe someone should go back and take the Chief Joeseph, Beartooth, and Eastern Yellowstone dayrides on next Wed/Thurs/Friday.... :giggle:
See Shell canyon the next day...camp in the bighorns....

Ahhhh....but what bike to take? FJR went to Idaho, VFR went to SD......

Shucks, I'd go, but my calendar is full for this week. Lotta' good it does me to be semi-retired.

All your motorcycles look alike. Why not leave your comfort zone and get something a little different ? Maybe a Grom :)

So you didn't say anything about the Strom -- which one is it? Does it replace anything? And how do you like it?

Love it. Smooth, powerful, light. Upright seating position. Very manuverable at slow speeds. Great wind protection with givi adjustable wind screen

So, is there a reason you won't tell me which V-Strom it is? I've asked several times. I'm guessing it's the big one, but you haven't said. What year is it?

At least one inquiring mind wants to know!

Hi Phil.
I think Chris' bike is a 2017 V Strom 650 XT. I don't think he ever considered a bigger one.
Pretty much everyone we saw were 650's.
With a seat height of 830 mm (32.7 in), it is too tall for me. :(

My new 650 Versys seat height is close to that. It seems fine on flat asphalt for me but the other day I needed to push it back a bit on gravel and was reminded of the height. So far I'm undecided about lowering it a bit but we will see. It is difficult to find low seat heights in the style of bikes us short people like.
