[Review] Plug'n'Play Brake Light Upgrade - 1157 - 45 Red Dual Intensity SMD LEDs per bulb

This is why I stick to an incandescent housing/reflector and add a LED replacement bulb.

Not an option with some new cars and bikes....LEDs are the latest "must have" marketing ploy.

Yeah... My 4Runner has the LED assembly. They look nice, but if they go out I will probably get the older light assembly to replace them with.

My Scion TC has a regular bulb assembly. It will be upgraded to LED bulbs in the stock assembly soon. Probably do a 3rd brake light modulator on that one. I like people seeing my brake lights. :D

Hi Everyone,
I'm considering an upgrade to LED brake light bulbs...only question I have : Is heat a problem? I don't want to risk damage to the plastic tail light lens and/or assembly.

Thanks.

Incandescent bulb put off more heat than the LEDs so that should not be an issue.
