My last new bike. I hope …..

Ok, ok. Point made. I ordered a center stand from Partzilla. Along with the Honda “ComfortSeat”. Unfortunately, both on back order.
Honda’s center stand is HALF the price of SW-Motech.
Good man! Safety first! It doesnt rain too much mostly on my tours, but nothing wrong with a quick and easy chain lub or even clean and inspect on tours. Its also easier to get to the air stem and check the rear tire for items like nails. Lots of motels have free rags. Some bikes actually use sight glasses for engine oil.

My personal opinion is that I don’t apply the DuPont wax based chain lube unless the chain is CLEAN and dry.
I use a pressure washer (car wash) when traveling. I just don’t get real close to the chain when cleaning to avoid blowing out the o’ring seals.
I hate to imbed dust and dirt in the lube.
You are correct about letting the cleaner evaporate. On tours, I have been known to use the wax as a cleaner first if I have to ride through a destruction zone. Chains are a PITA when someone decided to take away the protective enclosed case.
