I was saddened to see that two Navy E/A18 Growlers collided during the airshow. Thankfully, all the aviators were able to eject safely and are in good condition. That was a very strange collision. Once they collided they appeared to stay connected until they hit the ground.... very unusual. The other unusual item about the loss was that they were flying the E/A18 Growler which is a version of the F/A18 Super Hornet which has about $10-$12 million dollars worth of avionics to overcome the enemy's countermeasures. The Navy doesn't have a surplus of these birds so I was suprised they didn't use a less costly F/A18 Super Hornet.

Yeah...the main thing is the Martin Baker ejection seats sequence worked. You can see the explosive bolts blow the canapies clear and then the zero zero 150 ejection seats fire and stear them clear of the wreckage and each other using their vectored thrusters. Quite different than the 2010 Mountain Home T bird inciident. MB is gonna have to redo their sign. (never seen two planes stick together exactly like that. ) I have seen alot of people die in incidents and lots of people survive incidents they should have died during...this one was amazing

This is Chris Strickland 1/2 second before his plane fireballs onto the runway. I have seen a jet fireball down the runway. He landed in the flames....there is no way he should have been alive. The seat was working so hard it compressed his spine 2.5 inches.....
