My hearing has been going downhill over the last two months, so fast it was frightening....until I could get in to see my ear doc (good luck with that) I bought some hunting ear muffs. They only have 5 db of ampflication but the sound quality is good and they work great for gunshots. I could now set the TV at an audio level that my wife wouldnt say bad words about.
Today I was having ear pluggage issues so I hit one ear with hydrogen peroxide for 30 min....no help....
went to my Providence Urgent care facility which I love. $15 copay. Walk right in.
The doc looked into my ear and said I had major wax buildup and inflamation from infection. A pretty girl spent about 15 minutes washing out my ears till she got out two huge gubbers. My main doc looked into my ears during my medicare physical and said they were fine two months ago.
After gubber removal, the doc came back and said he still saw the major inflamation that was closing up my left ear and prescribed ear drops which are a pain as you have to do them 3 times a day, both ears, and 20 min apart from each ear. But I have used them before for swimmers ear. They work.
By the time I got home, I was hearing normally for me. The doc there said that wax can indeed build up this fast in two months......
The sad part is it takes forever to see your real doc or referenced doc in Spokane. The good news is that these people have helped me so much I have given up on getting a doc unless its long term out.
Right ear gubber and the lady's finger...took along time and alot of flushing to get the critter out.
