Cult?

I had a 2005 Suzuki Burgman 650......Suzuki's super-scooter with an electronic CVT transmision. It was purposely overbuilt because Suzuki wanted to err on the side of caution with a new design. The weight came in at 635# wet. That's as heavy as many big cruiser bikes. Yet that thing was nimble as heck. Our NTs aren't really lightweights when you compare them to other bikes (the BMW R1200GS weighs as much!), yet they are pretty well balanced. So weight is part of it, but so is where the weight is located.

Yes, it would be nice if the Deauville had a world wide cult following then Honda may revive the model as the current VFR 800 is no replacement for it. The only thing that comes close to the brief is Chinese NK650T but it has chain drive! Enjoy your steed like I'm really enjoying my NT700V ownership. A true joy to own and I've owned close to 40 motorcycles over near 50 years of riding. Everything from 70cc to 1500cc. Love my Deauville GT.
