Bridgestone T31 [E] or [GT]?

It's a shame the Shinko Ravens don't come in the NT's rear size. For a budget sport touring radial they're awesome. I ran a 120/70 and 180/55 on my other ride cross country and back recently. The rear still has some life left with 7,000 miles on it so far.

Have you tried a BT-020 bias ply on your ST1100? I bought a new ST1100 in 1990. The only rear tire back then was the stock 548, and only Honda had them as a Honda part.....$330 Cdn. :)

The thread is about NT700 tires ;)
The T32's sown are for my GF's NT700VA
(on the ST's (non-ABS,110/80 front tire) I'm on G547/548 since '92, all "modern" tires fail on this rig... and I've tried quite a few... )
Prices were interesting though:
120/70 R17 TL 58 W BRIDGESTONE Battlax Sport Touring T32 Front: € 109.70,- ex VAT
150/70 R17 TL 69 W BRIDGESTONE Battlax Sport Touring T32 Rear: € 132.58,- ex VAT
minus the € 41.67,- coupon on my customer card: € 240.74,- incl VAT delivered

I spent $200 USD for the for NaNCy. However, the mistake I made during pulling the front wheel of this bike for the first ever, costed me far more than that. Not to mention the backorder for the most critical replacement part. Lesson learned the hard way. :soapbox:

Well, temps barely above freezing the past few days, almost starting to snow (slight powder sugar here and here...)...
GF still weathering out her commute and is very smitten with those BT32's...
Despite being pretty run down from this year's trips, they still stick very well, even at those low temps...

Ordered another set T32s this March:

1 x Bridgestone Battlax Sport Touring T32 120/70 ZR17 58W 133,39 €
1 x Bridgestone Battlax Sport Touring T32 150/70 ZR17 69W 160,19 €

will install them before the Scotland trip in September

GF still pretty pleased with the old set, >9000km, some cupping but smooth ride, no issues in rain, wet, on white-lines... they work well on the NT700...

Alright, prior to the Scotland tour I'd installed new T32's on my GF's NT700VA...

Once on Scottish roads (which are in really bad condition BTW) front and rear started to show angular wear pattern like this:

Inflation pressures have been kept to specs... 🤔

The Bridgestone Exedra G547/548 on my ST1100Y show regular, even, roundish wear while being on the same roads, corners and speeds...

Bridgestone T32 is a dual compound tire for the rear. I believe the front compound is the softer of the two rear compounds. The wear that you have illustrated is to be expected due to the softer compound durometer.

Well, it does cause some odd handling in corners though... OTOH did we get +10,000km out that set...
The T31 rear tire wore fully equally with only 2/3rds of that mileage...
