Hello All,

I wanted to update you all that I have the rehab of Natalie.

Here's what has transpired in the last 48 hours:

  • Received Insurance Payout.
  • Ordered the following items off of eBay, Left Mid-cowl, Right Mid-cowl, Lid Left Mid-Cowl (Vent), and the entire Left Footrest.
  • Ordered multiple OEM parts from my local dealer.
  • Installed the used Stator Cover.
  • Fresh oil change and filter.
NaTalie has been awakened from her 1.5-week coma. Here's a video of her awaken moment. This is a major milestone on way to a full recovery.

I want to get an appreciative SHOUT OUT to Brad - A.K.A. ARKNT. It was him sending me his spare Stator Cover that made this all possible.

I great THANK YOU from both NaTalie and I.

More to come later...

It looks like Honda San was pretty generous with the stator wire. That's a good thing, hopefully it lasts as long as the rest of the NT.

I quick "SHOUT OUT" to Walt, a.k.a. Rusty_Iron for his generous donation to the cause.

Today I received the package that he sent to help with NaTalie's rehab.

Here's what was inside:

  1. Centerstand, which I do need.
  2. Left side cover
  3. Left side cover accent
  4. Right side over
  5. Right side cover accent
I great big grateful "THANK YOU" to Walt for his contributions. 😁😊

If you did I'd ban you .... haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa <evil laugh>

:cautious:

This is an evil laugh.

I just backfrom my local dealer to pick up all the new parts that ordered. Surprisingly I only spent $252 for all these items.

The first round of eBay parts should arrive this coming Friday. Looks like I’ll have something to do over the weekend during those available windows of opportunities.

Things are progressing at a very good rate.

When I did a water pump replacement on Dudley in January of this year, it took over a week to get most of the parts. They got the pump, O-rings, clamps, etc., but not only were the hoses between water pump and the oil cooler (hoses which carry coolant, not oil) not available in the US, but they weren't available in Europe or the UK either, and there was no predicted date when they would be available. I authorized them to go ahead and reuse the original hoses. I guess it might be time to replace them one of these days -- and if whoever buys Dudley from Empire Cycle ends up here on the Forum I might recommend that to them.

Horse still has the original hoses as far as I know.

I had a similar issue with getting the cylinder head hoses last year when I replaced all the hoses and the radiator.

NaTalie has started to take on a new form. She has been put back into a road worthy condition. However her transformation has not been completed quite yet. Once that transformation has been completed there will be a revealing shortly afterwards. There are still items pending to arrive to get us to that destination.

Today I tried my luck at sanding out the battle scars on the left pannier cover. I found the closest metallic silver I could find at my local AutoZone.

Here’s what has transpired, see the images below

I already put a second coat of the final color on this piece. I will see how it looks in the morning.
