So far! They have no idea yet how many structures have gone....just something over 700. 65,000 evacuated although again it is unclear how many people have actually left. I doubt many town folk trust the government to do anything. So far as I know, the looting hasnt started yet. Here is an official map on where level 3 (red, go NOW) evacuations stand at 14:30 pm Aug 3. Just a few fire fighting Aircraft in the air HERE. Resourses are spread so thin , tough decisions have to be made. We are the red X. All packed and ready to go.

Hope the fires leave you alone. Pretty rough out your way.

I hope that you will be spared damage from the wildfires now raging.

It sounds to me like you've done everything practical to reduce the risk of a fire loss. But with small acreages there is only so much you can do, and sadly, as you realize, with fire there are no guarantees. It would take thousands of acres to effectively allow stopping a running fire in extreme fire weather conditions. Fires have been part of the western environment for ages. Vast acreages of even-aged coniferous forest were naturally regenerated following large fires. The problem is that humans live there now. Humans also live in flood planes and hurricane plagued coastal areas. And where I live we have ticks that carry Lyme disease, Anaplasmosis, and Ehrlichiosis. And worse yet now, we have the Lone Star tick that carries the Alpha-gal disease. I know three people who have it so it isn't uncommon. There's troubles everywhere. All we can do is the best we can do.

Keep sending us updates so we know your're safe. We don't even care if you just complain about taxes.

Arsonist has been caught last year but not enough proof. In 2010, he shot his father in the jaw and then the back, killing him over a dish washing argument. He then shot himself in the stomach but failed to kill himself. Arizona downgraded his charges and released him.
Welcome to WA. Don't breath the air.

Winds up again tomorrow. One arsonist in custody. More on the loose.
The press wont say anything about this arsonest...he was suspected in two arsons last year. No one knows where he lives, what he does except claim welfare, maybe..
He shot his father in the jaw in Arizona, then in the back and killed him, then shot himself in the stomach and served 10 years for man slaugter and was released.

Air support was kept on the ground on day 2 due to 26 drones.....then 13 the next day.... They now have a high tech computerized portable drone spotter set up.
I am hoping someone can explain drones to me. Can they be serial numbered like guns? How hard can it be to catch one with a hunter/killer drone? The Russians have radio beams that can disrupt the communication signal path from the incoming attack drones to their HQ. As a radioman, this sounds like a very simple thing to do. These arent Ukrainian drones that also have inertial nav after all

Yeah... same _F_ has started over here...
Severe crash, victims with major injuries, rescue helicopter can't land because some imbecile onlookers have their stupid drones up... valuable minutes lost which could cost someone's life...
Good that they've been spotted though... enough mass to ding a mains- or tail rotor-blade... idiots...

France, Spain and Portugal got also hit pretty hard...

And even we here have some wood/wildfires... a few days with close to 40°C/100°F and all is dry as tinder... pines sweating sap doesn't help...

Yesterday, just south of Vienna...

they managed to bring it under control around 2100hrs... about 250 acres of woodland are lost/damaged... they're still fighting embers though...

also constant random fires on stubble fields and other vegetation strips in the past two weeks...
cigarette butts, camping BBQ/campfires... parking their car on dried-out patches of grassland... burning glass effect by carelessly disposed beverage containers...

people are ignorant a_holes... 🤬

The FBI has been sent in to investigate drones. My old dept, WSP and others now have drone detectors. Drone opperators are assessories to arson . You wont believe me but it is ill eagle for Law enforceement to shoot down drones, as they are "aircraft"
Many hot spots remain. Winds up friday and Saturday.
Back outside preparing my land.
It looks like you have the same problem we have. Uncareing forest owners allowing overgrown of timber, not taking out dead trees, etc. Its alot of work. but worth it., 2014 . Many of
These treews are gone now...wack, trim, thin, repeattIMG_3485.JPG

I’ll volunteer to shoot down drones. If anyone complains I’m just collecting evidence to turn over to FBI. Sounds like fun to me.
One hour ago there was a fire 4 miles from us. Light winds, thankfully. Fire district 10 jumped on it. Bless our fire fighters.

Another fire at 4am. Junk yard x ten. 4 miles away. Too bad they got it out. :(😭 Screenshot_20260810-134538.PulsePoint_copy_527x935.png

Today, another arsonist with prior convictions was arrested for a Aug 8th Spokane fire, which thankfully just burned 1/2 acre. 😔
