Cold Feet

Market is not the issue, I had an opportunity to trade it in twice now. Once seven years ago when I bought my Big Versys 1000 SE And then again a year ago when I bought my NT1100. Both times it would have been a fair trade with the amount of miles at that time. I just could not let her go. But situations change and the sale or trade of the FJR is again on the mind. Maybe I should drain the fluids, disassemble her, take her down stairs to my family room, reassemble and use her for Still Art. :biggrin:
Well, as I said, this dealer also took in an NT with 100k on it....but that was then....this is now.....I was litteraly reaching for my checkbook when the salesman said he wouldnt take my bike in on trade for any price due to the high milage.
 
For you, probably nothing. If you were to get into "adventure" riding you would find that it is a bit more stable off road. I don't know that I would be a technical enough rider to tell the difference. A thought just occured to me though..... what would your Asian <ahem!> harem say if they found out that you bought a Brit bike??!! After all these years and countless cruises cultivating the cuties it would be a shame to lose them all in one fell swoop...... I'm just sayin'........

Actually, my first Harem member, Ruriko, has a Triump and a Hayabusa. She is married now and when the kid came, her husband bought her a Miata. But with the kid growing, she still posts vids. Love her youtube vids of touring Japan. Her husband rides also.

Ruriko is a highly paid model with 100k followers on IG and many vids on youtube. Here she is at the Tokyo Motorcycle show giving lectures on touring Japan on a Triump. She brings out the crowds. Japanese motorcyclists love her narated vids using Gopros on her bike of Beautiful rural Japan. She might appear a bit over enthusiastic watching the sub titles and listening to her, but she is no dumb bunny

BTW, I probably should have said that the NT1100 with a standard trans is the first bike I would ride if it becomes available. It is much cheeper and has dealership locations.
If anyone hears a good rumor that they are bringing it to the US, let me know.
I am not 100 percent apposed to automatics....my Subaru CVT reads my mind I think for upshifts....and yes, I should ride an auto.

I happened to see a review of a slightly different Triumph, the Tiger Sport 800 Tour. Same triple engine. Full luggage. Cruise. Heated grips and seat. Centerstand. Looked very interesting to me.
The Sport 800 has a wheelbase 5.8" shorter than the Tiger 900. Makes it more maneuverable but less stable straight down the road. More fun in the twisities.
 
The Tiger Sport looks to me like it’s built on the Daytona frame. Shorter wheel base and steeper head angle. It’s going to handle a lot quicker. But I bet it is a hoot to ride.

Frosty, Jim. It occurs to me that the NT1100 is $5000 cheeper than the T 900s. Which in Washington also means $500 less sales tax. The Honda luggage is cheeper, also.
It also occurs to me that I have no understanding on how one drives an NT1100. Perhaps someone at the Honda pavillion at Osh can explain it but I am going over to the NT1100 part of the forum and ask.
