We would need at least double what we have now, and that means a lot of nuclear. The biggest advocates for EV are also the biggest opponents of nuclear.

I worked in nuclear generation for years. I don't see nuclear working in any small scale stuff without a major shift in all things related to safety. The testing, qualification, paperwork, etc would make the smaller scale stuff nonfeasible, at least in this country.
We will see what happens as time goes on.

In that part I was referring to to traditional nuclear power plants. My later reference for the smaller ones was SMR (Small Modular Reactors) A recent new type of reactor. These could be used to power individual plants.
