What’s with the sliding tail bag???

I installed the tail bag, and it has about 1/2 inch of side to side movement. What have you owners done about that, seems like it would be noisy.

It's designed to do that for high cross winds, or high speed stability or something like that. Not 100% on the exact reason, but I've never noticed it moving when riding and mine don't make noise so... I let it slide. I haven't noticed any positive or negative affects.

The dampened site-to-side system is designed to absorb buffeting that would otherwise transfer into the frame...
Other models like the ST1100 utilize same concept (even the panniers "float")...
