Anyone interested for 2026 ?
From 2012 till 2019 we held an Eastern Gathering in Ohio / WV area. COVID put a damper on the event in May of 2020, however, I sent out emails to all that had attended it in prior years and started getting that small group together in September of 2020. We've been doing that small gathering twice each year since 2021, once in May and another in Sept. We had decided to keep it small while all the COVID mess continued for a year or two, however that has pretty much not been an issue and now our attendance is down due to loosing folks aging out and giving up riding or to inability to ride any longer, etc. The group dropped rapidly last year to about 6 with the loss of several to illness. We only got together with about 4 other folks in Sept for a one day ride.
I'd hate to see this little event go to the wayside, so I'd like to know if "anyone" on the forums, open to all regardless of make or model, would be interested in joining a small group in SE Ohio or Northeastern WV this year. I've set the days for the Spring Gathering, May 28th to 30th. If this one goes well, I'll look at September also. Right now I am looking at two locations. One in SE Ohio we have been using and am sure we can get the same great deal, and I am looking at a different location in Northeastern WV, Moundsville area, however would need to know what kind of numbers I might be talking about before I talk with that hotel manager. If only a few are interested, I'll stay with the current hotel we've used for several years now. It's in a great area, especially for new visitors.
