Why so soon?

I know a guy that has and has had several really nice motorcycles over the past 10 years, calls himself a motorcyclist, and will sure tell you the best setup for whatever I'm doing, however in at least the last three years hasn't ridden near the 400 to 500 miles I'll put on mine in a weekend. Mind boggling

He's a collector. I've no problem with that, but he should present himself as such. I've met nice people with amazing collections, the difference is they aren't lecturing me on tire brands or what luggage system is the best. They want to talk about how long the restorations took or how hard it was to track down part XYZ. They aren't pretending to be Ewan McGregor.

I have several bikes that I rotate through, they all get ridden once or twice a week without accumulating many miles. Every one of them bought with about 15k on the odometer, for a good price.
