Lookng to purchase a NT700V Base or ABS. Low mileage. (<6k miles) Service records available. Garaged. No projects. Thanks!

I've got one with under 30K miles that's in great shape. Do you want more info?

I can testify that Phil's bike was very carefully maintained in the early part of its life.

Thanks, but due to my quite marginal mechanical skillsets, I'd need to have a less-loved NT. :)

NTheaded,
Trying to get a 15 yr old bike with under 6,000 miles, is a rare hunting feat!! Here is some items to think about. A much less ridden bike can have multiple issues. Old gas in tank, requiring removal and cleaned and relined with that liquid liner, then there is the fuel pump in same enviroment. Throttle bodies need cleaned, maybe even removal to clean. Depending on type of environment where bike is stored, all the different connectors might need reseated. Brake fluid flush, engine oil changed, fork oil changed. On a much more stored bike, has any mouse or such varmint chewing on wires causing unknown issues? Phil's bike with under 30,000 miles is a better idea, ridden more, maintenance things done on time.

As probably the highest mileage NT in USA, had 201,111 miles on it in 6 yrs 10 months, ONLY REASON I sold it in 2018 was to transfer all my accessories over to a newer one with less miles on it. I found one in NY with 504 miles in 2017, picked it up on my truck, brought it back to NC. These V twin 700cc engines are great mileage bikes. That engine was barely using any oil in an 8,000 mile full synthetic oil change, not even anything to worry about. The valves and valve seats do not wear much, very good material used. Service interval is 8,000 miles in to be checked for the gap, I kept increasing the time / miles gap to eventually around 45,000 miles, with out exceeding service range of gap. So the engine is just an engine without major problems.

So my current NT has 128,500 miles on it now. Its my current work horse for work commute as was the first one. I looked up your travel distance from CA to CO, around 1,140 miles. If you can't go retrieve this bike, you can always arrange shipping.

Have fun looking, but don't think ONLY a NT with under 6,000 miles is the best idea

Hi there I have a 2011 Honda NT700VA in like new condition with just over 5000 miles. Upstate NY outside of Albany. Garage kept. Original owner. Own multiple bikes. If interested let me know.

Phil, Thanks for the detailed reply/history. I'm so sorry for your heartbreaking loss.

I have a friend in Lak Charles, LA who bought a 2010 NT700 last year - had less than 5k miles on it, if I recall rightly. He will likely sell it as his health ain't what it needs to be for riding.

I wish some of those bikes could talk! The very low milage, like new bikes.....
With that low of mileage, they probably wouldn't have much to say..........

"....... well, looks like another day of just hangin' around the garage <sigh>....... looks like it will be sunny and warm an no rain..... <sigh>.... what's that, Toro?" " Yes, I know he takes you out once a week, don't rub it in.....!"

Mike
actually, I would love to hear them talk....an NT with 3600 miles on it....so what did you do and what was your life like for 15 years......what did your owner(s) do for you?

Not sure it would help anyone that far away, but there is one just popped up on Marketplace here in Northwestern WV. The dealer just north of here in Ohio, has a 2010 Red one, with an off brand tail trunk, with 3,298 miles on it and they are asking $4,899 but I bet they would come down. I've noticed a couple out this way still available on Marketplace. One has 32K miles and only asking $2,600. Mine is still going strong at the moment with 102,000 on the clock so not really looking yet. If someone would be interested, I can get contact info. Oh, and that bike that Phil has would be awesome ! I'm going to miss riding with Phil. He has made it out our way before.

Man, I'm not even in the market but Phil's has tons of great stuff. Cruise, Russell, gps, big bags. Thousands of dollars in the best farkles, that bike is ready to cross the globe in comfort.
