Just bought a NT700v a couple of months ago. My ST1300 was just getting too big to move around my garage and cooked me in the summer. I'm not as young as I used to be and wanted the same bike in a smaller package to ride around on. Hope it works out.

Anyway, it has been a bit colder here and found out that there was Honda hand wind guards that are longer available. I hunted for used for a few weeks and found nothing.
I needed new front brake pads so was at the local honda dealer and took a shot at asking it there was a way of searching Honda's parts data base to find old discontinued parts. They said they could try. There was 1 hit at a dealer in Michigan. My dealer called them and they said they are showing that part number in stock, but it was there so long that they didn't know if it was actually there. They went to look and said they still had it. They shipped it directly to me at dealer cost. They couldn't locate any others. Just got lucky.

Considering the storage time it might be advisable to replace the 3M double sided tape with one of equal classifications...

Last year the wind deflectors started showing signs of loosening on my NT. Wanting to be proactive, I decided to replace the 3M trim tape with new stuff. The old trim tape and residue was pretty easily removed from the painted areas of the bike but removing the old trim tape from the wind deflectors was a dickens. In addition to scraping tools you will need a solvent such as 3M adhesive remover or Goo Gone and finally, some patience. A good project for a cold winter's day.
