Right now in Spokane, Influenza is rampant, according to the urgent care center. My wife got flu "a" and gave it to me. We both had our old folks vax but I got mine early..9-25-24. This is my first flu in decades.
Be careful out there.

Btw, my doc did prescribe Tamaflu so we shall see how that works.

I have flu A currently, the most sick I've been in my life. Last night was my third night of 104+ and constant tremors. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

My fever is broken today it would appear. As sick as I've ever been though, and definitely still weak and woozy. I was working a week of overnights, which I'm sure set me up for failure with no sleep and extra stress. Thanks for the well wish.

Chris, how did you make out?

On this side of the Globe I am recently recovered from the latest variant of COVID-19. Temp was around 102 for a few days and then decided I should do a Covid test. The test checked for RSV, Influenza A & B and Covid.

The Covid strip lit up as soon as the fluid touched it.

After ten or so days I started feeling a bit better and now I am just dealing with the lingering Covid cough.

Stay safe everyone.

The Tamaflu really worked for me! No real fever, body aches, etc. My wife had a cough for a long time...... I got really sick in the pandemic of 1958....I was hallucinating...my wife got really sick in the pandemic of 1968....for a long time.....I get flu shots every year and have never had the flu that I can rememeber since 1958...till now..... The Spokane county health district dash board shows the flu has dropped from 8 percent of all ER visits to 6 percent. Epidemic level is .9 percent. RSV and covid are still low. My pulminologist said the real pandemic flu numbers in 2009 were vastly underreported...now we have better technology. I feel sorry for the families of the 13,000 dead...even though in most cases, the flu "pushed them over the edge" it still hurts.

Glad you are doing well....when I cruise, I carry a physical script of Paxlovid...I have mild COPD and when I first got covid, Paxlovid knocked it on its ass. If you know the designation of the variant, let me know.....the strain that is going around here is very mild and most people dont even test for it.
