Greetings.
I recently bought a 2011 Honda NT700V/A Deauville. The plan is to use this bike largely for road trips and my 1970 BMR R75/5 for local rides. First impression is I love the Honda but the saddle height is slightly too tall for my preference. My first thought was to replace the stock saddle with a cut-down Corbin saddle which should allow me to plant both feet flat when stopped. I did this with my BeeMer and while it worked fine, this option is expensive. Looking into other options, I came across the HyperPro Rear Lowering Kit for Honda’ NT700V Deauville. I contacted the company and they assured me that the kit fits my model/year. I believe the kit is made in the Netherlands but can be purchased through their distributor in USA at a cost of $83 plus shipping.
My question: Has anyone had experience with this lowering kit? I’ve maintained my old Beemer for years and have lots of wrenching experience. I looked under the Honda but could not envision where the lowering bars would attach. I look forward to hopefully getting some feedback on this potential project.
Cheers,
Doug Raleigh
