First eye is Jan 14th. To get away from the thoughts and permagloom of Spokane in the winter, I treated myself to an 11 day cruise in the Sea of Cortez and saw my first mantas! Ate way too much and drank way too much.....but the warmth was nice. And there were people to talk to!

Cataract surgery's biggest deal was keeping all the eye drops scheduled straight. My vision was 20/20 in both eyes from the time the patches were taken off. I have had some floaters that bugged me and also some ocular migraines, but for the most part, my vision has been great. I hope yours will be, too.

Before my cataract surgery, I was blind as a bat without my glasses. Now I can function quite well without them. I still need glasses for reading though. You will like the result! You won't need your specs to admire the Asian babes anymore :thumb:

After her cataract surgery my wife had to have the below procedure done. It looks like after my recent cataract surgery I am also going to have it done on my left eye.

YAG capsulotomy is a type of laser eye surgery that’s used to treat a specific complication of cataract surgery known as posterior capsule opacification (PCO). This problem is caused by scar tissue forming behind a lens implant after cataract surgery. The complication may occur a few weeks after cataract surgery, but also could take years

My cataract surgery went perfect. I was somewhat concerned about having my eye worked on, but it was an absolute nothing. I was very pleasantly surprised that the process went so smooth with no discomfort. I can't wait to get my second eye done now.

My wife had this complication also. The laser surgery corrected it pronto.

I also had YAG laser treatment. Several months after cataract surgery, I noticed blurry areas in both eyes.
It was a quick, simple in office procedure that resolved the problem.
I still have 20/20 distant vision with a need for reading bifocals. Very pleased with the results.

Drops are now gone. When you are twighlighted, they inject a hypo full of antibiotics into your eye that slowly deterioratee. There are the lube drops.

I hope! The complication rate is only 3 percent but many of the complications decrease over time and some like double vision can be corrected in my new glasses.
My resident "babe". We walk alot on our 3/4 mile path. It has been warm and wet and the blessed rain has been sinking into the parched ground. Winter is no longer a nice time of year to go into the mountains and ski.....no sun down here. 8 hours of gloom and 16 hours of darkness. The fire cheers me up.

I dont think she would talk with me......LOL! Roisah would. Many are supporting two/three generations back home or just want to see the world and build up some bucks. Interesting to hear about Java, Bali, Sumatra, Thailand, and the Philippines...I mention them in my back home survey and in real time on the Holland America app. This goes right to their supervisor and they get a business card chit that gets them an extra 10 min break, and helps them get contracts and promotions. They work 11 hours days with about a 1.5 hour break, 7 days a week. 5-8 month contract. Tips are also not taxed in Indonesia.

The laser treatment is very common now and can be done more than once, according to my surgeon. I love glasses so after the healing process, I get progressive lenses in my glasses. I will never again see 20/20 out of my left eye as I have dry macular degeneration. Thankfully, it is very slow in progressing. Its 20/25 now.
