A Short Dec Ride

Was able to get out this afternoon for a 120 mile V-Strom ride. Here are a couple of pictures and the route.

My Dec 1 rides were very short. 20 min on 3 bikes.

About 12 years ago, my wife was on her Pacific Coast and I was on my GoldWing in Colorado on late spring vacation. We took a twisty back road up over a mountain. The road was dry and the ride was great....UNTIL we went over the top where everything was still in shadows and cold. The road turned into glare ice. All we could do is not brake....not accelerate....try to not turn....just ride it out for over half a mile. That was a LONG half mile!! We both made it although it scared the crap out of us.

Yep happens a lot here. Gotta watch out for the shadows. Only The Shadow Knows.
