450 miles each way

I've been asked to preach at a Baptist church in Lake Charles, LA later this month. I've been there numerous times, have always driven the car. This time, my wife suggests I ride the motorcycle. Gotta love that woman God gave me!

If the weather cooperates, I will ride 200 miles to the north side of Houston and spend the night with a dear friend I've been on numerous rides with. The next day, I will ride 250 miles to the house I'll be staying at in Lake Charles. About 5 miles of Interstate, in Lake Charles.

Return trip will be same route. There's a great diner on my route between Houston and Lake Charles, in Merryville, LA.

Nice leisurely ride! I usually plan for about 300-350 miles per day, depending on roads, weather, etc.
UNLESS I have “get home itis” due to unforeseen circumstances.

I try to keep a day's ride below 350 miles. I did 2 days of nearly 450 miles last year and thought I was gonna die.
