Since I found out that the EAA has stopped allowing such powerful machines as my lead acid scooter, while allowing e bikes, Frosty has generasly loaned me his mountain bike, which is still allowed.
I also went to a Pawn ship where the people were rude and uncooperative. "Flat tires? take it or leave it. no test rides. $160"

So I went to a bike shop and they had a very nice used mountain bike for $150. Their cheepest. (Walmart has them for $99)
Then I went to a reccommended nice pawn shop where you get treated like a human bean.

They had just what I needed. A bike like Frosty's but with sproket guard and kick stand. And two flat tires. $30. I pointed out to the sales person that there was no tube valve in the rear flat tire. We check out the Shimano operation and pumped up the Front tire, which was ever so slightly bent.
He said, A "$20 bill and its all yours out the door."
I went to target and bought a tube and went home. Everything that could have been wrong with this bike was. It still really needs a new rear brake cable but oh well. Take a look at what I found inside the rear tire. A small mismatch with the stem and the hole. I put the tube under water....no leaks. I pumped up the tire to 50 psi and its holding, as is the front. I re routed and adjusted the brake cables. The twist grip shifters seem to work.

I am too ignorant to know how to fix bikes but this one is working for now, so maybe I will take both bikes.

Now THAT looks more like a garage. :thumb:
Can't say I like the bikes though. :rofl1:

Having spent all day cleaning up my garage I know the realities. But I had to do it because I was embarrassed to park my new motorcycle in there. :(

Love these pumps. 5 second press to wake it up. It reads current pressure. Set psi and hit start. It turns itself off when full. Forget to charge it? No problem
Plugs into cigar lighter or you can use clipleads to battery.

50 psi????? That's got to be at or over the max for that tire.
I run half that much in my tires at most. 18 front and 20 rear are my usual pressure settings off pavement. 20 front 22 rear on the road.
I do have a set of 1" wide slick tread road tires for my mountain bike that I run 50 psi in for strictly road riding. My new bikes are all running tubeless tires which are lighter and have less rolling resistance and give a better ride.

Both mine and Frosty's bikes clearly state 40-65 PSI.
I know Frosty's bike was made in the last century...unsure about mine. I looked over the tires in and out and they looked fine.
Saw one of the same configureation at Goodwill store yesterday. 20 bucks, use your 20 percent off cupon...16. No seat and both tires flat, but the bike looked to be in good condition, unlike my knees. But I get along with my patteler tendon straps.
I am taking slime for bikes with me plus spare tub and patch kit to OSH.

Tubeless! Wow...someone finally got smart.
My wife's bike from 1975 has skinny tires and is marked 90 psi.
