Does anyone have experience installing RaceTech cartridge emulators on an NT700V?
The RaceTech website doesn't list the Deauville, but they probably have one to fit. I haven't had the forks apart, so I don't know the critical dimensions. If someone knows the correct kit number, I can have all the upgrade bits ready when I service my forks.
Thanks.

I had them in my CRF dirt bike, but I guess I was not a good enough rider to feel or notice any difference in the handling...I was middle of the pack and always seemed to stay there! I would imagine that a major overhaul and emulators on a tired and high mileage NT will definately make a difference....good luck..it seems like an excellent upgrade

Not particularly high mileage, but it's starting to feel a bit harsh. A fluid change might be enough, but I want to research possible upgrades before tearing it down.
I'm planning to install emulators in my old CX500. That should see a significant improvement. But first, I need to go through my collection of 33mm forks to pick out the best parts.

I haven't used emulators so don't have any specific info. There are posts on the forum so if you haven't done one do a search on Race Tech and read a few. You may need someone from Race tech to help out.

My NT came with RT emulators installed. Never rode one without them, but I will say that front end is firm, and the bike handles very well compared to any other budget suspension Japanese bike I have ridden. I am a fast rider on technical roads, and very hard on front tires. My front tire life on this bike is markedly better than other similar stock suspension Japanese bikes, and wear is even and uniform- extremely rare for me, besides on high end sport bikes with fresh forks.

I'm unsure of the part #s, but I will vouch for them just on tire wear alone, with the very secure front end being a bonus. I'm not sure if the benefits would be as great if only ever pottering around, but I suspect that they would still be worthwhile.

Elsewhere on the forum, I saw mention of using Transalp springs on an NT700V. Do we share fork dimensions with the XL700? RaceTech lists the XL700 Transalp as a supported model.
I sent a general inquiry to RaceTech. I'll report any response.
