2018 NC750XD
I currently ride an NC750XD. Over the years, I’ve had a 1996 Wing SE and a 2001 ABS Wing 1800. I recently test rode an NT1100. I was reasonably pleased. The NT felt like it rode smoother and had a much larger bike feel. I think the ride would be a good ride. Another thing I was pleased with was there was almost no wind hitting me.

However, I am tossing around the idea of either picking up a used DCT wing or purchasing an NT1100. My NC750XD will most likely never see a state line; too small. It rides ok; great on fuel; but it feels somewhat like a 10-speed beneath me. With heated grips and factory cruise, the NT seems like a great package.

As you have to buy them sight unseen ... If anyone has experience with the luggage panniers and top box between an NT vs a DCT Wing bags and trunk, I would like to hear your comparisons.
Thanks!

If you are shopping used DCT wings, just be aware of the UBS Bolt recall and years affected.

I have a '25 NT1100 with panniers and top box and previously owned a 2018 DCT Goldwing with Honda accessory passenger seat back & top box kit (made it look identical to a DCT Tour). The NT's panniers have easily 50% more volume and are not weirdly shaped on the inboard sides. A full face or modular helmet will fit. The NT's panniers are very usable compared to the Wing's which requires playing Tetras to fit odd shaped stuff we tend to take on trips. A helmet will not fit. No comparison there. The 2018-2020 IIRC Wings have a 50 liter top box and the 22s and up have a 55 liter top box IIRC. The latter will handle two helmets but the former will not. Both NT & Wing top cases are similar as far as user friendly shape.

To me the Wing and NT are chalk and cheese. The NT is fun to ride. It's nimble and quick on small roads and can still hammer down 500 slab miles before a late lunch if you are going long. I did a SaddleSore 1000 on the NT not long after buying it, also did one on each Wing. The Wings ( I owned a 2006 before the 2018) are, for me, rather uninspiring to ride on the small roads and that's what I really like to do. It lacks ground clearance and feet forward pegs on a long wheelbase hinders a fast pace on small roads. It's a very competent tourer hurt a little by the small panniers but not a sport tourer like the NT. Sorry, it's not a ST1800. I rode a ST1300 180,000 miles unsuccessfully trying to wear it out. I could not but It just got too heavy for me. The ST1300 I sold and got the 2006 Wing but my late wife was riding with me then and wouldn't ride on a sport touring high seat. Wives have bought more Wings than husbands probably admit.

My attachment to NC700Xs should be made known. I've toured extensively east of the Mississippi on mine and crossed many state lines. A handful of IBA rides too. It gets 50 mpg at 85 mph! I've owned three since 2012, one manual and two DCT. Many times I said when Honda makes a 100 hp NC1000X it would be perfect. And it is. The NT added the power and tech lacking in the NC700/750 and its only 45 lbs heavier. Good luck in your decision.
